As part of this global transformation, my client is looking for a QlikView Developer to join their growing team based from their office in central Glasgow.

The Role:

You will work collaboratively with teams located locally and across the globe to build clear and engaging data visualisations which fit business requirements and handle large data sets, condensing them to make them light and fast. You will primarily use QlikView but will also be exposed to projects using other analytics tools such as QlikSense, Tableau etc. 

You will work end to end on projects from stakeholder engagement and requirement gathering, through solution development and testing. This will involve engaging with very senior stakeholders within a large global business. 

Due to engaging with various teams, you will gain vast experience in various business systems and associated technologies. There are also long terms plans to move solutions to the internal Cloud. 

Role Requirements:

In order to be successful in this role, you will be an experienced QlikView Developer with demonstrable experience in the following areas:

  • Data warehousing and data modelling
  • QlikSense/QlikView: Scripting, data modelling, UI data visualisations
  • Qlik: Server architecture/administration and support
  • Other analytical tools such as Tableau or Cognos
  • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
  • Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and multi-threaded programming
