Field based role

42 hours per week Nisa contracted role

Since Nisa was acquired by Co-op earlier this year, we've focused on combining the best of both organisations to offer something new to independent retailers and commercial wholesalers across the UK. More scale and better product ranges give Nisa partners a real competitive advantage, and now we're looking for talented retail development managers to help our partners grow their businesses.

In this role you'll build positive relationships and work closely with Nisa partners (independent retailers), making sure they're getting the most out of their relationship with Nisa. As the face of the business, partners will look to you for support with all kinds of queries, so it's vital you're able to confidently manage expectations and handle challenging situations.

What you'll do

  • manage your own schedule, visiting independent retailers across your region
  • maximise retention and drive loyalty and sales by building positive relationships and helping retailers to realise their potential and any opportunities for growth
  • work closely with a wide range of partners, challenging and educating them when necessary to develop productive relationships
  • take responsibility for driving your own performance and delivering KPIs
  • actively look for new business opportunities, building relationships with competitors in your area
  • act as the interface between Nisa head office and partners; working closely with IT, logistics and operational teams to resolve issues and queries
  • make sure site visits and actions are thoroughly documented and recorded for future reference

This role would suit people who have

  • business development and/or sales experience
  • strong relationship building skills gained in a retail or wholesale environment
  • a passion for meeting targets and delivering results
  • the resilience and confidence to manage challenging situations
  • great communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences
  • excellent organisational skills
  • the initiative to manage your diary and workload effectively in a field based role
  • real drive in order to solve problems and deliver solutions

Why Nisa?

* bonus up to 22.5% (based on business and personal performance)

* discounts on Nisa products

* a great pension with 7.5% company contribution
