Senior Application Support Analyst with SQL. Any EDMS systems experience of interest.

Glasgow (City Centre) Commutable via Scottish Central Belt.

Highly experienced 2nd Line Application Support Analyst required to provide high quality advice and support to assure a first class remote service for UK wide SAAS and enterprise customers. You will be responsible for providing telephone, email and online based customer support and assisting in the implementation of projects and training for customers including thosein Energy, Utilities, Engineering and Construction.

Essential Skills:

We'd like to find someone with experience in 2nd tier support of business software, databases, or a document management systems.

Candidates should have a good all-round knowledge of SQL, JIRA or similar bug tracking systems and be confident in dialling in remotely to triage and track issues, and problem solve.

You should have the ability to rapidly learn new products and systems and be a highly motivated and determined team player.

Good experience communicating technical issues and ideas to customers in writing and verbally is essential

A basic understanding of one or more relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server)

A basic understanding of one or more operating systems

A basic understanding of IIS and other WebServer platforms.


Any FileNet, Documentum or other Document Management software experience would be an advantage

Experience in the use of CAD packages such as AutoCAD and MicroStation would be an advantage

Some general practical knowledge of development languages such as Visual Basic, .NET or Java would be an advantage

(all of these are in no way essential)

The Role:

Responding to customers or partners support requests

Logging support calls into our 'SupportCenter' and keep the call log up to date at all times

Investigate, reproduce (if possible) and suggest solutions to customer's problems

Provide in-depth support for customers and partner's configurations of enterprise applications

Provide feedback to development engineers on application features and problems

Create entries to the internal knowledge base on common issues

Log product defects and change requests into the Defect Tracking System

Assist other Product Support team members with customer escalations and Critical or Urgent Calls

some on-site customer support
