Duration: Fixed Term - up to 2 years, Full Time
The programme manager is responsible, on behalf of the Senior Responsible Owner, for successful delivery of the programme to increase the provision of early Learning and Childcare from 600 to 1140 hours by 2020. The role requires the effective co-ordination and alignment of projects, an ability to recognise, promote and realise inter-dependencies by influencing a range of stakeholders in order to build an ELC provision most likely to improve outcomes for children and young people. This £50 million project will require careful identification, monitoring, escalation and mitigations of risks and other issues that may arise to ensure effective delivery. The Programme Manager will work full-time on the programme and will report progress to the Programme Board and to Elected Members in keeping with the programme’s governance arrangements.
Minimum role requirements are:
A degree level qualification relevant to the role
Experience of managing a large project or programme
