Location: Perth with some flexibility
Salary: £39,413 - £52,055 depending on skills and experience

As a Senior Test Analyst, you'll support SSEs Energy Portfolio Management (EPM) business which is responsible for ensuring SSE has the energy supplies it requires to meet the needs of customers from procuring the fuel, selling the power output, providing energy solutions and services to customers and securing value and managing volatility in volume and price through the risk-managed trading of energy-related commodities.
You'll provide quality assurance for IT Changes by planning, co-ordinating and executing testing in non-production environments through structured test cycles. This work is essential to protect the integrity of our live systems and minimise risks to the business from IT change. In a senior role, you'll be expected to lead test activities on projects, taking ownership and managing through to successful completion.
Test Automation will be your primary focus. You'll operate as a SME, develop a long-term test automation strategy and build automation frameworks that deliver proven efficiencies. Additionally, you'll: both maintain existing and build automated test scripts; select and develop appropriate test automation tools, applying industry best practice; use risk-driven techniques; ensure proper traceability, version control and configuration management of all test objects developed; train and transfer knowledge to the wider team.
Your Skills and Experience
You'll have proven experience of implementing and maintaining automated testing solutions. You'll also need excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as stakeholder engagement skills, as you'll regularly engage, and be required to build strong relationships, with senior stakeholders. A strong understanding and hands-on experience using HP UFT, or similar technologies, is essential and some experience working in an Agile project would be beneficial.
