Job Title: Business Analyst - Data Quality
Location: Reading or Perth with some flexibility
Salary: £35,147 - £46,418 depending on skills and experience
Permanent / Full Time Hours
Our Data & Analytics (DnA) team supports the execution of SSE business strategy through the deployment of competitive DnA capabilities. Our Data Management Centre of Excellence, in the DnA team, helps the SSE business to manage data as an asset and thereby understand and improve its business value. This is an essential capability which underpins the successful delivery of analytics and true business insight.
You'll help business data owners and data stewards across SSE to manage data quality including: recognising and quantifying data quality issues; determining the impact of issues; understanding how best to prioritise and manage resolutions. You'll be responsible for delivering supporting services such as data quality dashboards and incident tracking and will also support analytics deliveries through the execution of a data quality assessment framework for both 'fast fail' initiatives and larger-scale projects.
Your Skills and Experience
This is an exciting new role and to get it effectively off the ground, you'll need to call upon your experience of delivering structured and targeted data quality improvements within a large organisation, and have an understanding of data modelling, data flows and data quality dimensions. Your experience of supporting large-scale DnA deliveries, ideally within a Utilities environment or a similar asset-driven business sector, will be extremely valuable. Most importantly your stakeholder management skills, creating and maintaining effective business relationships, along with your ability to relate data quality improvements to tangible business outcomes will be key to your success.
