Salary: £31,345 - £41,396 depending on skills and experience + car/cash allowance
Permanent | Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available | 37 hours per week
As part of SSEN, our Commercial section is responsible for a range of activities including connections, where customers are seeking to connect to the Distribution networks owned and operated by SSEN. The Commercial team is the first point of contact for organisations and individuals wishing to connect to our network. In response to our Regulators - incentive known as Incentive on Connections Engagement (ICE) which relate to continually improving and enhancing the customers experience when arranging a connection, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Connections Engagement Strategy Manager to join our team.
Your key role and responsibilities will include developing and implementing the strategy to maximise on RIIO-ED1 Incentive on Connections Engagement (ICE) which places our connection stakeholders at the centre of our business planning and improvement processes, ensuring key internal stakeholders are aligned with this strategy throughout.
You'll assist colleagues in developing and delivering annual engagement plans that support the strategic objectives of the ICE work plans. You'll work with various areas of our network business and externally. You'll support the business in understanding the nature of their customer's/stakeholder's feedback encouraging them to identify and adopt solutions which can be implemented. You will be required to drive the business objectives and commitments made to Ofgem and stakeholders in our yearly ICE work plan which is informed by the results of our stakeholder events and initiatives from planning through to implementation.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you'll possess strong leadership and influencing skills at all levels. You'll be confident in dealing with people both internally and externally and possess excellent communication skills, both written (report writing preferential) and verbal. You'll have the ability to identify and implement innovative and effective business solutions and to challenge business teams on their assumptions to help deliver solutions to achieve strategic goals. You'll be self-disciplined with excellent organisational skills. Of course, you'll be motivated to work on your own initiative and be able to work with all levels of management to achieve required business objectives. You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, networks, business change processes and experience of working on IT based business improvements.
Due to the travel requirements of this role, a full valid UK driver's license will be necessary as will a degree of flexibility in regard to work patterns.
