Job Title: Project Information Officer

Location: Perth

Salary: £24,923 - £32,919 per annum, Depending on Skills and Experience

Permanent | Flexible working | 37 hours per week

Our Role

As a Project Information Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the management and control of project / business documents and records across a wide range of projects for the Transmission Business Unit. Serving as a technical expert, you will use your previous experience to work with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to provide Document Control support for projects from conception to completion. Your responsibilities will be wide spanning and will allow you to supervise, create, implement and execute to agreed milestones and deadlines, whilst working to effectively to mitigate risks. Previous experience of audits in relation to projects and system record management would be beneficial.

Your Skills and Experience

To ensure you get the most from your role, and our customers receive the highest standard of service, we ask that you hold a qualification in a relevant discipline. You should also have a demonstrable understanding of the Energy industry; we always strive to be better, and so examples of your continual development are a bonus.

You should also have the ability to pick up new IT software, and effectively use company-standard document management systems; we currently use Content Server in our teams, so any knowledge of this or similar is essential. Previous experience of project close out including final records, archiving and handover would be a bonus. Sound knowledge of general IT systems such as the Microsoft suite is also essential. Your role will involve liaising and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, therefore it is crucial that you have excellent communication skills, along with outstanding organisation and customer relationship skills and an attention to detail.

Transmission operates under licence as Scottish Hydro Electric (SHE) Transmission plc, responsible for the transmission of electricity in the north of Scotland. We own and maintain the 132kV, 275kV and 400kV electricity transmission network in our licence area. Our network comprises of underground cables, overhead wooden poles, steel towers and electricity substations, and it extends over a quarter of the UK land mass across some of its most challenging terrain.
