With various directorates, this large public sector organisation in the South of Edinburgh are seeking an experienced professional to advise, develop and implement a Workforce Planning strategy to manage their talent attraction and candidate management systems. This organisation are experiencing an exciting period of growth, with recent investment which will benefit stakeholders throughout the organisation.
Your new role
You will initially be required to assess the current talent plans in place, to help identify where there is room for improvement in relation to processes, policy and overall strategy. You will be looking at growth plans, attrition and absence rates as part of your analysis. You will then lead on the creation of the plan, advising the organisation on best practice, coaching managers on the new Workforce Planning strategy which will be able to be scaled up or down depending on needs.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be experienced in large scale workforce planning, for example with an organisation of circa 500 employees. You will be creative, innovative and able to communicate your vision and guidance on Workforce Planning to the organisation at various levels. This contract is expected to last for an initial 3 months, with possible extension to 6 months, and you will be able to commit to seeing the project to completion.
