Salary: £20,159 - £24,029 (pro rata for sessional working)
Hours: 36 per week, term-time only (39 weeks per year)

Start date: 9th January 2019

The school is organised into twenty classes from P1-P7 and our nursery has capacity for 40:40. We offer families a range of session options as part of our flexible patterns of attendance initiative.

We are currently seeking to recruit a motivated and skilled Early Years Practitioner to join our nursery team. The Nursery team is made up from an Early Years Officer, three Early Years Practitioners, an Early Years Assistant and (currently) a Modern Apprentice, and led by one of our Principal Teachers.
  • You will be expected to take on the role of Keyworker for a group of children, providing early learning and childcare for children aged 3-5 years old, during school term times.
  • You will have strong teamwork skills and contribute to the positive and supportive ethos that we value at Wardie Primary School Nursery.
  • You will play an active role in working collaboratively as part of the nursery team and community to take forward improvements to improve experiences and outcomes for all pupils.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
