Job Description
As part of the Permanent Teaching Pool you will provide high quality learning and teaching where cover is required within Stirling Council Primary Schools. You will be required to teach assigned classes together with associated preparation and assessing of children's work; and assist in developing the school curriculum. You will provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues relating to their education, working in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals and contribute towards the good order and wider needs of the school. Undertaking appropriate Continuous Professional Development, you will participate in issues related to school planning, raising attainment and individual review where appropriate. You will have a relevant teaching qualification together with GTCs registration. With excellent interpersonal skills you will have good demonstrable classroom practice with sound knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence. After working for a year as a part of our permanent teaching pool, it is the intention that you will then be appointed to a permanent position within a school from the start of the following academic year.
The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children.
