General Manager - Beer House, Glasgow Central
Are you an experienced branded Pub or Bar General Manager looking for a fresh challenge, with great career prospects in an exciting and rewarding environment ? We operate well known branded restaurants, bars, cafés, food courts and convenience stores in airports, train stations, up and down the UK and Northern Ireland

The Role
We are looking for a confident communicator who is passionate about delivering fantastic customer service within a branded environment and can coach and develop their people to be the stars of the future. This fantastic opportunity is based in Glasgow Central Railway Station, a thriving commercial environment serving the travelling public and running our popular "Beer House" Bar brand. Ultimately, you will manage the venue and take ownership for the quality of service from your team and the financial performance of your unit - it's as good as running your own business but with the support and fantastic development opportunities of working with a world wide market leading food-service company. Life at the station is not 9-5, so you need to be available to work shifts which can include evenings / earlies and weekends on a rota basis. Trading hours 7am to midnight. We operate a 40 hour working week, working 5 out of 7 days.

The Details
To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience of managing a diverse team of people in a high volume environment, recruiting, doing appraisals and managing performance. You will also need experience of managing a branded food serving bar or licensed café / restaurant and be knowledgeable and passionate about craft beers and wines. You'll know what it takes to run a 'branded' operation - the standards and structured processes required working within set brand standards and have good audit results. You will also need good commercial skills and have had full accountability for the P&L, reviewing and analysing performance and making action plans for business improvement.
