Hours: 35 per week (1.0fte)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Primary Teacher at St John Vianney RC Primary School. The start date is planned for December 2018, though this is flexible. For the remainder of the 2018/19 session, this post will be 0.5fte in our P7 class and 0.5fte Support for Learning. This would be subject to review Summer 2019.
Our school is very multi-cultural, with over 20 languages/countries celebrated across our community. Our Family Learning and Place2Be projects have recently started along with developments in Outdoor Learning in our campus forest. A new Early Year's Centre is planned for 2020.
St John Vianney Primary School is organised into 10 classes from P1-P7 and a 30/30 Nursery. We have an excellent, supportive and highly self-evaluative staff who play an active role in the direction the school takes. While we are a Catholic school, we accept people of all faiths, celebrating the diversity and culture these brings to us. Both are a significant influence in our school culture and ethos.
The school is led by a management team of Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, Principal Teacher and Business Manager. The leadership team is ably supported by a School Administrator, a team of Pupil Support Assistants and a Service Support Officer. We value leadership by all across the school community and provide time for this to occur.
Our Parent Council is incredibly supportive of staff and the learning and teaching throughout the school, providing various resources and finance which, have a direct, positive impact.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
