Job Title: Group Multimedia Channel Officer
Location: Perth or Glasgow
Salary: £23,800 - £36,500 depending on skills and experience
Fixed Term Contract | Full Time Hours | 37 hours per week
The Multimedia Channel Officer will support the Group Multimedia Manager in the execution of the Corporate Affairs Digital strategy. You will deliver an effective channel management service to Group Communications and the Wholesale, Enterprise and Networks business teams to ensure that all channels operate effectively on a daily basis.
The channels will include a group level intranet, a group level employee app along with the corporate website and the corporate social media channels. You will be responsible for page building including layout and image editing, proof reading and approving and posting user-generated content. You'll also make sure that all company polices are upheld and that consistent branding is applied with a focus on our business separation regulations.
Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, you'll develop and maintain service level agreements ensuring internal and external communications channels meet the needs of stakeholders and users. In addition, you're responsible for capturing accurate data analytics to improve channel performance and providing insights to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of channels.
Your Skills and Experience
Coming from a similar digital communications role you'll have significant experience in website content management and channel development. A strong working knowledge of content management systems and web-based publishing applications is vital as is an expertise with social media. In addition, a working knowledge of SharePoint is essential.
A background in measuring channel effectiveness and using data analytics to make recommendations and improvements is advantageous. The ability to manage a content workflow, catering to the needs and priorities of your internal customers, is essential. We are looking for you to bring scrupulous attention to detail and be able to work effectively to tight deadlines without making any compromise on quality.
Your passion for this role will be evident in a curiosity about information technology, social media trends and all forms of digital communication and you'll enjoy keeping up to date with emerging technologies. The ability to prioritise your workload is crucial as you identify the difference between what is important and what is urgent.
