Job Title: New Connections Project Manager
Salary: SSO6/07 £31,345 - £41,396 depending on skills and experience plus car/car allowance
Permanent | Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available 37 hours
As a New Connections Project Manager, you'll be required to facilitate the quick delivery of new connections within set targets to gain the best customer satisfaction. This will requires setting realistic expectations with the customer, while keeping them informed and always being available to guide the customer through their new connection journey.
You'll also be required to order materials and programme labour, jointing, and overhead line resources to facilitate the efficient delivery of new connections. This should be completed alongside the Wayleave staff ensuring that necessary wayleaves are secured without delaying delivery.
As Project Manager you'll be expected to produce switching schedules and submit them to the control room, set staff to work safely on the electrical distribution network, carry out safety visits on site to ensure compliance with procedures, have financial accountability for allocation of costs, ensure works are completed on the programmed date while managing planned supply interruptions, update final records of projects are completed within set timescales and ensure all affected customers receive the statutory notification in line with Ofgem's Guaranteed Standards. Finally, while setting staff to work on the LV and HV network, you'll arrange street works in conjunction with other 3rd party utilities and negotatiate with the Roads Authority
Your Skills and Experience
To succeed in the role, you'll be fully SAP sanctioned for testing, be conversant with NRSWA chapter 8 in order to plan works safely, have strong experience in a project co-ordination role (including financial management), knowledge of Guaranteed Standards, High and Low Voltage networks and an understanding of wayleaves.
You'll also be LV and HV authorised, with the ability to work to tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously on Microsoft Word, Excel, PROMIS and ENMAC programmes.
