Job Title: Technical Planner

Location: Glasgow

Salary: SSE6 £31,345 - £41,396 depending on skills and experience + bonus + excellent benefits.

The Role

As technical planner, you'll report into the Engineering Manager and be involved in ensuring safety and quality of systems, detailing IBM Maximo job profiles, enlisting work scheduling and organisational control.

Some of your main accountabilities will include;

*The administration of the maintenance management system 'IBM Maximo', ensuring this is up to date by liaising with the operations supervisors', control room staff and maintenance engineer

*Ensuring work orders are efficiently scheduled and prioritised, balancing requirements to available resource.

*React, track and alter maintenance plans if schedules are delayed or disrupted.

Support the maintenance engineer, with work scheduling and reporting of maintenance activities

*Using the company's maintenance management system, ensure the correct work control documents, safety documents and work instructions are all up to date and attached to form part of the issued 'Work pack'.

*Prepare and submit reports produced from Maximo on maintenance activities that are overdue, completed on time or before the estimated time.

*Provide technical assessment of defects and schedule defect maintenance into the planned maintenance programme

*Review and track Corrective Maintenance activities in order to form trend analyses for potential plant failures.

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has a good understanding of maintenance requirements for large plant infrastructure and the importance of a planned and coordinated maintenance strategy.

Ideally, you'll be qualified to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline, however as the position requires knowledge and experience gained within industry, consideration will also be given to suitably experienced individuals. Previous experience within the wind or electricity generation industry would be an advantage, although this not essential. Knowledge and practical experience of working within a controlled safety environment will be necessary, together with proven knowledge of a maintenance management system, IBM Maximo would be an advantage, although not essential. Experience of Microsoft applications, including competency in MS Project will be required.
