My client is a large infrastructure company working across the UK and Ireland. They work with several large companies in the Telecoms & Power industry. They have served the industry for over 40 years and have recently been working in other areas of the world including Africa, India & the Caribbean.
They are currently looking for a Supervisor to work on a large Telecoms contract bringing fibre upgrades to the property. They are looking for an experienced Supervisor to oversee the running of the contract that extends across Ilton. The ideal candidate will have to have Telecoms experience and ideally have worked on a FTTP project before.
The main responsibilities will be to look after the Streetworks Act, Civil engineering Health & Safety and KPI management.
Other responsibilities include:
·Surveying and programming work streams
·Conduct site meetings with local authorities
·Complete Site and Material Audits
·Meet Stakeholds and share information on projects
·Manage team targets and team inspections
·Carry out crew audits and tool box talks
·Ensure Permits are granted and managed effectively
·Report and issues to the line manager
·Investigate any issues
·Ensure documents are completed
Skills and experience required:
·MS Office and other IT skills
·Experience of managing site teams
·Experience in working with permits on work Schemes
·Experience of working to tight timescales
·Ability to understand the needs of the clients
·Good communication skills and leadership skills
·Experience of managing civil Utility contracts - ideally in telecoms
