Head Teacher, Our Lady's RC Primary School/St Thomas RC Primary School, 35 hours per week, closing date 23rd December 2019
Our Lady’s Primary School is a denominational school serving the community of Stoneyburn, West Lothian. The joint management of the school continues to link Our Lady’s with St Thomas’ Primary School in Addiewell. The school also works throughout the year with Stoneyburn Primary School, particularly during transition from nursery to Primary 1 and through a number of joint Community events.
The school roll is 78. The staff consists of a head teacher (0.5), a principal teacher, five class teachers and a support for learning teacher In addition to teachers, our non-teaching staff includes one full time and five part time pupil support workers, one admin assistant, a caretaker and a catering assistant.
The nursery role is 25/20 and is staffed by an early years officer, full time nursery nurse and part time nursery nurse. This session, the nursery has benefitted from enhanced PSW time across both sessions.
St Thomas’ Primary School is a denominational school within a combined school complex serving the community of Addiewell, West Lothian. The joint management of the school continues to link St Thomas’ with Our Lady’s Primary School in Stoneyburn. St. Thomas’ also has a strong collaborative relationship with Addiewell Primary School due to the combined school campus.
The school roll is 27. The staff consists of a head teacher (0.5), a principal teacher and 2 class teachers. In addition to teachers, our non-teaching staff includes one full time and one part time pupil support workers. Two office staff, a caretaker and two catering staff are shared with Addiewell PS. In addition, the school is supported by a Principal teacher who coordinates the Scottish Attainment Challenge in conjunction with Bridgend Primary as well as a Family Support Worker.
St. Thomas’ Primary School is part of the Scottish Attainment Challenge and has introduced a number of initiatives to increase attainment and close the poverty related attainment gap between learners in Literacy, Numeracy and Health and Well-being.
A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland is essential.

The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or Existing Member is £18. The £59 cost (where appropriate) will be deducted from your salary over a 1 or 3 month period by repayment schedule. If your employment concludes before the amount is re-paid in full, the outstanding balance will be deducted from your final salary.
