Are you a passionate scientist who has an in-depth knowledge of chromatography coupled with some commercial or client development experience, and would be interested in joining a leading chromatography consumables company? If so, then this could be the perfect role for you.

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced scientist to take up this fantastic role with a genuine market leading company. In the position of Technical Business Development Specialist, your role will be an important knowledge-transfer bridge between the sales and delivery teams, ensuring that technical information is delivered correctly, concisely and on time throughout the entire process. This is predominantly a hybrid and customer facing position covering the area from Manchester to all of Scotland, and so applicants must also reside somewhere within the territory.

For this role you will have to be a confident person with excellent communications skills and who is able to build and maintain relationships with customers and colleagues at all levels. Previous experience within in a sales or business development role would be nice but this is not overly important – what is most important is that you are a suitably qualified scientist who also has some form of commercial business background along with the necessary in-depth knowledge of chromatography. Practical experience of working in an analytical laboratory with HPLC (MS) and/or GC (MS), or experience working in the chromatography consumables marketplace is absolutely essential, along with your willingness for lots of travelling around Scotland and the North of England. A full driving licence is therefore essential.

The salary banding for the position is between £37,000 - £42,000 depending on skills, experience and background, and a bonus scheme is also in place for the achievement of KPI delivery.
