Currently recruiting a HR Director, based in Aberdeen on a permanent basis.

Description

* Act as focal point for senior management on all issues around people, structure and people development to ensure competitive advantage in the mid-long term across our engineering teams
* Work closely with the Business Presidents, VPs, Business stakeholders & other Engineering leaders across the business to ensure engineering/business objectives are realistic but aggressive, business needs are met, and success metrics are identified and reviewed
* Provide professional advice and coaching to senior line managers / business leaders in their respective BU / Country / Function
* Act as an effective, and sought-after, sounding board and coach to business leaders
* Help implement and shape the organisations policy, processes and structure, as well as define their Vision, Values and Culture
* Feedback business strategy to HR counterparts and COEs and work collaboratively and in line with business goals
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the business, HR trends and employment legislation and pro-actively use knowledge to provide excellent customer focused, value add, service provision.
* Regularly assess area of responsibility and use initiative, creativity and knowledge to encourage change to drive business performance through effective HR activities
* Regular liaison with the wider HR team to share ideas, best practice and ensure team is working towards common HR and business goals
* Communicate global developments from segment and business HR VPs to wider HR team and businesses
* Accomplish special project results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfilment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; evaluating optional courses of action; changing assumptions and direction
* Support mergers and acquisitions - analysing the existing structure of potential acquisitions and designs processes to integrate new personnel in the company programs, ensuring acquisition and employees are integrated into NOV structure, strategy and values
* Work with in-country HR teams ensuring compliance with local legal requirements and advising senior management on required actions
* Facilitate communications between the various stakeholders and collaborates with internal cross-functional teams to provide technical advice and solutions

* Travel as and when required
* Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager
