Who We Are

The NES Medical Directorate is responsible to the NES Board and through the Board to Scottish Government for the commissioning and delivery of postgraduate medical education in Scotland.

What You Will Do

We are looking for Admin Officers to provide administrative support for a range of high-profile Quality Improvement education programmes and resources. This will involve carrying out the administrative processes for all aspects of the delivery of a suite Quality Improvement education programmes and development of learning resources.

Key tasks will include but are not restricted to:
• Working with the Senior Administrative Officer and the wider team as required to undertake the administrative tasks required to ensure the successful delivery of a suite of Quality Improvement education programmes.
• Contribute to maintenance of accurate and up to date administrative records for all aspects of the programmes and resources.
• Developing Excel databases for specific aspects of the programme (e.g. recruitment) including use of formulae, conditional formatting and producing reports.
• Working with other team members day to day to ensure all administrative tasks are on track to meet agreed deadlines. Propose improvements to administrative processes for consideration by Programme leads and other team members.
• Communicating in a professional manner with internal and external stakeholders to provide information and respond to enquiries about Quality Improvement educational programmes and resources.

What You Will Bring

This will include but is not restricted to:

• Educated to HNC level or equivalent relevant experience
• Significant administration experience including organisation and planning of events
• Able to prioritise and manage workload to meet deadlines
• IT Literary including proficient across Microsoft Office packages
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
