The Communication Provision is part of Knox Academy, known as Meadowpark, which is a short walking distance from the main school building and will provide places for pupils from across the county. Staff and pupils will be based in a beautiful converted former Victorian building which was formerly home to Haddington Infant School.
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Support Assistant, based at Meadowpark office primarily on reception dealing with the pupils, visitors to the school, general public and supporting school staff with office administration.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic and with the ability to communicate their enthusiasm to the pupils and staff and present a welcoming and professional persona to visitors, Training in the use of council systems is available, but some experience/confidence using Microsoft Office would be an advantage. Flexibility is essential in this post together with good organisational skills. The successful candidate should be calm and have a caring nature.
To provide administrative, clerical, reception and information support to the school through a range of tasks carried out within well-defined regulations.

Educated to ‘Higher’ level, NC or SVQ level 2 in English and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
