Job Title: Quality Engineer / Specialist

Salary: £39,413 - £52,055 depending on skills and experience
Permanent | Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available | 37 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Quality Engineer/Specialist to join our Quality team with a variety of base locations. This team holds responsibility for the delivery of commercial business objectives, whilst ensuring that all regulatory, statutory and financial reporting for the Commercial & Connections business is delivered in all set targets. They are also responsible for quality, developing a culture of continuous improvement, driving quality standards and excellence throughout the department.
As a Quality Engineer, you will be expected to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the business. A background or qualification in Lean Six Sigma would be beneficial. You'll identify any potential issues and risks, highlighting them to relevant parties and ensuring these are corrected within any set timescales.
In addition you'll be required to conduct reviews on our Engineering Connections quotes and designs, ensuring they are of the highest quality and adhere to all relevant regulatory rules.
This role is an excellent opportunity to learn about our business, and gain hands on experience with our vast portfolio of projects.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have either a qualification in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or relevant industry experience in Quality or Business improvement projects.
You'll have a keen eye for detail and will have a strong analytical background; if you have previous experience with ISO 9001 2015 that would be advantageous. With good communication skills, you'll be able to develop and nourish positive working relationships across your stakeholder group, including internal teams and external third parties.
You should also have good reporting experience, preferably within a similarly regulated business; any experience in the collation, creation and provision of KPIs would also be great, however not essential.
A high proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications is a necessity.
