Due to an internal promotion, DCT Media are recruiting an Event Manager to join their growing events business in Scotland.


Working directly for the Head of Events, the role of Event Manager is to deliver and produce high quality events that are engaging and relevant to the DCT Media portfolio. Our portfolio of brands include No.1 Magazine, the Scottish Wedding Directory, the Sunday Post, Press & Journal, The Courier, The Beano and The Broons.


In 2019 our growing business will deliver over 20 events including The VOWS, No.1 Amazing Women Awards, the Courier Business Awards, the Snow Ball and the UK Games Fund Awards.


Working as part of a team you will manage and develop a series of existing events including conferences, business breakfasts, awards ceremonies and exhibitions. In addition you will work with the Head of Events to develop, launch and manage new events. You will source and negotiate with suppliers and be the point of contact for sponsors and event guests, providing first class customer service at all times.


This role can be based in either Glasgow or Dundee.



  • 2 years+ events management experience managing conferences and awards ceremonies essential.
  • Experience in exhibitions advantageous but not essential.
  • First class organisational, negotiation and customer service skills essential.
  • Experience at working with clients at Managing Director level advantageous.
  • A qualification in events management is advantageous but not essential.
