General Manager - Renewable Joint Ventures
Salary: £43,200 - £65,500 depending on skills and experience + car/cash allowance + annual bonus
37 hours per week
SSE currently has interest in a number of windfarms joint venture companies.
SSE Renewable Operations will be responsible for the delivery of the long-term obligation to provide management services to the Joint Ventures. We are now looking for a General Manager to work for JVs to manage SSE's obligations.
The General Manager is an influential and senior position. It is an exciting opportunity to lead and influence the operation of this major asset. As General Manager you will report directly to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and successful operation of the wind farm. You will ensure the service providers operate in an efficient and safe manner, having overall responsibility for the safety, environmental and commercial performance of this major project. The role will be based at Perth or Inverness and at the operations centre of the wind farm.
Your Skills and Experience
-Strong commercial and business experience in management of large operational assets (preferably in an electrical or offshore environment)
-Demonstrate the ability to lead and manage a large workforce
-HSE responsibilities including an in-depth understanding of HSE standards
-Knowledge of risk management in all aspects of SHE and business risk
-Understand and have knowledge working within a Joint Venture
-Be highly capable in financial management and business planning
-Ability to influence and manage the delivery of internal support functions providing services that are not under the General Managers direct supervision
-Able to develop and deliver business plans, project manage with strong contract management skills
-Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
