A shepherd is required to form part of a team in running the
sheep flock on a hill farming and sporting estate within the
Cairngorms National Park.
The business is developing a flock of 2400 Blackface ewes,
alongside a herd of 30 suckler cows, with a further 1500 or
so wethers running on the hill. You will report to the head
shepherd and be responsible for all aspects of hill flock
management, as well as assisting with general farm and
estate work. Good working dogs are essential.
Accommodation will be provided on farm. The farm is
convenient for the local primary school in Tomintoul which
feeds in to the well respected Speyside High School.
